Event instructions

Welcome to the instructions for accessing resources in the events section of the Isotope website.

Accessing the events resources

In this section of the Isotope website, you can access short summaries of upcoming events in the related fields of science communication and public engagement. These resources have been authored by members of Isotope, or by the project team.

To access these resources you can either scroll down the events page, or use the Search function. The search function includes the option to search the whole site or certain sections of the site.

Alternatively, you may want to use the ‘Event location’ function in the left-hand menu bar. This links to a Google map. This map includes the locations of upcoming events. Simply ‘hover’ your cursor over one of the markers to identify an event. If you want to know more about this event then select the marker of your choice, and then click on the name of the event.

If you register as a member of the Isotope site, you will also have the option to add your own description of an event. Instructions for how to do this are included on the Create content page when you are logged in.

Please contact science-engagement@open.ac.uk if you have any comments about any of the descriptions of events that are already included on this site.

Alternatively, if you are a registered member of Isotope then you can use the Add feedback page, which is available in the left-hand menu when you are logged in.

Other event listings
In addition to the events section on the Isotope website, there are a number of other organisations that regularly produce events listings. Examples of these organisations include (in alphabetical order):
